AMERICAN IDOL finished their 10th season finale with a BANG! The last episode was filled with performances galore, that topped any television finale I have seen to this date! Where the budget from, I have no idea but it will be difficult for any show to end a season this strong.
JACOB LUSK, KIRK FRANKLIN, & GLADYS KNIGHT "I SMILE":
SCOTTY MCCREERY & TIM MCGRAW "LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING":
JAMES DURBIN & JUDAS PRIEST "LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT", "BREAKING THE LAW":
HALEY REINHART & TONY BENNETT "STEPPIN OUT":
CASEY ABRAMS & JACK BLACK "FAT BOTTOM GIRLS":
LAUREN ALAINA & CARRIE UNDERWOOD "BEFORE HE CHEATS":
U2 & THE EDGE "TURN OFF THE DARK":
LADY GAGA "EDGE OF GLORY":
MARC ANTHONY, JENNIFER LOPEZ & SHEILA E "AGUANILE":
TLC & IDOL GIRLS "NO SCRUBS", "WATERFALLS":

THE BACK-UP PLAN
Today I saw the movie THE BACK-UP PLAN starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin. It's about a very successful independent woman who had despite having a great career, has always wanted a family but never found the right man in her life. Knowing she was getting older, she takes matters into her own hands by going through with artificial insemination. The day she finds out she is actually pregnant, she begins to fall for a man she met while trying to hail a cab, and who by the way is madly falling for her...fast.
This makes matters very difficult since Zoe [Lopez] has been wanting kids her entire life, and now that she's met a great man [Stan], she doesn't know how to tell him she's pregnant right after they just had sex and that it's not his baby. When she finally tells him, he's bewildered by the news, but since he loves her so much, Stan is willing to stay by Zoe and father her children. Yes children, because she finds out she's not only pregnant, but is pregnant with TWINS!
I really enjoyed this story because it has a lot of elements that many independent and successful women are facing today, NOT TO MENTION GREAT EYE CANDY ALA ALEX O'LOUGHLIN...First of all, the future can be so hazy and we never know what it holds for us. One moment we're dating someone, the next we're in love with someone else, then we have to locate somewhere else for our careers...it's basically a big question mark. With so much uncertainty in our lives, how would we ever know when we've found that right person for us? Especially that right person who we want to spend the rest of our lives with AND have a family. As years pass, many women tend to focus on their career seeing that it's the only stable thing that will bring them happiness and make them successful. But is a career worth chasing when in the end, we'll only be enjoying it solo? How much worth can money bring in the long run when there's no one to share it with, such as love within a family like a husband and kid(s).
As I wrote in another blog post before, this story holds true to many women out there, most notably journalists. Wendy Burch, a KTLA reporter has had a successful career in news, which had her traveling and moving every few years. Now that's she's at a comfortable state, she's realized that she's getting older and doesn't have children like she thought she would initially and isn't married. Read more on her blog along with the progress she's making: http://blogs.ktla.com/wendyburch/ Now that's she's at that crossroad, she is looking into options for having a child, something she's wanted her entire life...
I feel it is important for women to plan out their lives so that it's easier to attain their goals. I know it's difficult to plan out life's event since there's so many twists and turns, but with a solid foundation, it can help us stay on track of what we want in our lives. I know for certain that with a great career, I want a family...a husband and children. Who knows when that will be from this exact moment, but that's something I have always pictured. When in life we find that things aren't exactly running the way we planned, it's important to always have a BACK-UP PLAN and to always stay in the know about the aging process. You can always find time to focus on your career and marry someone in your life, but there's only a certain window for a woman to have kids and that's when we have to take matters into our own hands. Think about it and always stay prepared...

JENNIFER LOPEZ NAMED PEOPLE'S MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN!!!
Every year there's a coveted spot to be on People's Most Beautiful Man/Woman list, and let's just say this year is definitely Jennifer Lopez's year. Making the list for the 10th time, Jennifer Lopez came out on top.
Though out of the spotlight for awhile to focus on her family life with hubby Marc Anthony and twins Emme and Max, she is definitely bigger than ever right now. Deciding to star as a judge in the #1 show American Idol has catapulted Jennifer's career in multiple directions. You see her on so many commercials for L'Oreal beauty products and Venus skin care. Taking her back to the music scene, she also has the popular single "On the Floor" with Pitbull which has made her once again the Reigning Queen of Entertainment: Fashion, Movies, Music, Television, and Beauty.
"It's so crazy. Rarely am I left speechless, but I feel honored. I feel better, I feel smarter. In my 20s, I just wasn't there in my mind and my soul and my spirit. It's just great to be in the position I'm in now and be able to share that with the world."
Admitting the secret to her famous glow is the abundance of love she has in her life, Jennifer also admits that she does spray tan. She even reveals some insecurities regarding her immature graying at the age of 23 and her upper thighs
Jennifer Lopez's title of Most Beautiful Woman is well deserved because she is living the life right now. She looks more beautiful than ever, even younger than before! You can tell she's glowing with happiness from ear to ear and that she really has a heart when you see her emotions play out on American Idol. It's great to see a woman work so hard to get to where she's at today, and now take a step back and enjoy every moment of that success.

JLO-RATION GET DOWN "ON THE FLOOR"
On tonight's episode of "American Idol" Jennifer Lopez premiered her video for "ON THE FLOOR" with Pitbull. Viewers had 3 alternate endings to choose from.
It was kind of an awkward moment in the show because the judges were supposed to reveal their 3 additional finalists, but weren't ready quite yet; so to keep the show going they debuted her music video.
Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4H_Zoh7G5A&feature=player_embedded
Though I'm not exactly crazy about the song, I love me some JLO. She is so beautiful and seems like a genuinely sweet person, so what if she's a diva because she's amazing! The video was HOT! She still has her sexy swagger, and with Pitbull in the mix, nothing can go wrong. Get ready for the JLO-RATION!!!

Grammys 2011 Recap
Before any awards show comes the anticipated red carpet. The Grammys red carpet is different unlike any other awards show for the fact that this is the biggest night in music, so basically anything goes. It's not expected to wear gowns and bling jewelry such as the Oscars or SAG's, but the Grammys is an award show that lets each musical artist express themselves in their own way.

The biggest controversy caused was Lady Gaga when she was carried in an "egg" by several people, in order to prepare for her big performance of the night featuring her #1 hit song "Born This Way." She did not stop for interviews for anyone.
With all the musicians and celebrities there, there were a few that definitely stood out! It seemed like metallics were the popular trend of the night and it seemed fitting.

Rihanna wore this semi-nude Jean-Paul Gaultier Couture dress which showed off the right curves and a bit too little to the imagination. Other than that, her curves were busting out of everywhere, she's hot and even though she may be criticized, more power to her!

Jennifer Lopez was this silver metallic Pucci mini which was fit for the fabulous JL0! She will always do no wrong to me, because to me she's just so stunning and can pull off anything. Her overall outfit was like a metallic queen with silver dress and matching silver heels-LOVED IT!

Nicki Minaj became a head-turner as usual with her leopard fitted Givenchy fit and her Frankenstein style wig paired with hot pink lips. Nicki was in character as usual, and she worked her outfit like a pro. We all know she's beautiful and has an amazing body, but I give her props for having a sense of humor with herself.

Kim Kardashian was rocking the metallic gold look, opposite her idol Jennifer Lopez with a low cut halter, high slit gown by Kaufman Franco. She was looking pretty sexy I must admit, this dress just screams sexy goddess. But wait, why is Kim K at the Grammys again?

Selena Gomez wore a beautiful gold J. Mendel gown that fit her like a glove. It sparked such a radiance on her youthfulness where the overall result was perfect for her age, yet a bit on the sexy side without being overly exposed like some young Hollywood role models out there.

Many of the Grammy awards were already announced during the pre-show, which left a LONG 3.5 hours of barely any nominations and winners announced, and more like performance central. The best performance of the night was hands-down with Bruno Mars, B.O.B. and Janelle Monae. CHECK IT OUT!!!
http://neonlimelight.com/2011/02/14/video-b-o-b-bruno-mars-and-janelle-monae-perform-together-at-2011-grammys/
It was a doo-wop type performance where B.O.B. sang his hit song "Nothing on You" in which he collaborated with Mars. Bruno Mars then sang his heart out to the hit "Grenade" while viewers got to see the television change from color to black-and-white, giving his performance an oldies type feel. Janelle then finished off with her song "Cold War." I love the performance because it was sooo authentic and so simple, yet out of the box. It definitely brought a good vibe to the show and showcased all 3 of the performer's many talents: B.O.B.'s guitar playing and Bruno Mars' drum playing to be exact. Another great surprise was Mick Jagger's gospel type performance which marked his first ever time to be on the Grammy stage. For his age, he had so much energy and sounded great! Props to him!

As for the Grammy winners, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga took home many of the night's coveted awards. Lady Gaga we all know is already such a big superstar that it's expected for her to win, but Lady Antebellum's popularity amongst the masses is not too far behind. This trio brings a great melody and memorable songs you can't forget such as "Need You Now."
Overall, the Grammys are unpredictable. Who ever heard of Arcade Fire? But they won Record of the Year. Props to the ladies for coming out big for the night, REPRESENT!
