Great! Commoditize an art form and degrade it even further.
It's bad enough we've already hacked music apart by turning it digital, now we're treating it like soda pop. Everything is a bargain bin price war.
With the exception of very few bands and solo artist, this has been the case anyway. I think we would be kidding ourselves if we don't think the music industry has done this already. Pop seems to rule the airwaves and the tv so why should this be any different. Heck, you can't tell me hearing a song that came out less then a year ago being played on in a car commercial. Come on, it has already been commercialized.

Only updated my iPad to 4.3, was too lazy to update my iPod Touch, but with all these battery drain issues I might hold off, 4.3 doesn't have anything I need for my iPod.

I spent most of the night last night trying to get gpu2 running in wine on the i7 machine but ran into a problem and gave up. But I have found that the issue may not be with my set up, it may be the wu are bad so I will work on that again tonight to see what happens if I can get a different wu. Here is some info. I kind of feel like they are releasing this now so that they have something to hold everyone over for the iPhone 5. It is possible that Apple is going to release the iPhone 5 late in the year or early 2012 so the next one can be LTE. We all know how Apple likes to take there time adopting new technology. *cough* no 3g in 1st gen iPhone *cough* ;)

Not to be nit-picky, but "death grip" was "Antennagate" -- what's the "etc" part you mean? It's like you wanted to create a list of Apple problems, so you mentioned the one biggee TWO DIFFERNT WAYS and then stuck on "etc" to make is seem like oddles and oddles of problems ... Whaa? That young? I have a 4 year old MBP that just about copes with aperture.
MBP = 4 years old
iMac = 3 years old
And both will be upgraded to Lion. No problems yet , even 1080p content plays well, slight lag to catch up when RWD or FF other than that no problems. :)

Heh... Knowing XBox, the device will probably be twice as big as the 1st gen ipods and require a separate (not bundled) control unit to access all functionality.
