What makes for a more perfect setting of Cannes France, the beautiful city filled with Hollywood glamour from all over the world. There are numerous celebrities gracing this film festival that takes places May 11 through May 22. Here are amongst the best dressed of the festival:
PENELOPE CRUZ: she looks like a piece of art, a true beauty in this sexy violet Marchesa gown for the screening of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
UMA THURMAN: looks literally like a statue, a true goddess in this white silk Versace gown for the screening of "Midnight in Paris."
ANGELINA JOLIE: I'm not really a fan of this brown Atelier Versace gown she wore at the screening of "Tree of Life", but this dress does looks good from the side view and at least there's a slit to counter all that fabric.
GWEN STEFANI: she looked like an angel in this Stella McCartney black sequined jumpsuit which she paired with hot pink lips that pulled the outfit together perfectly.
BAR REFAELI: Leonardo who, look at that donk!!! She literally stunned in this midnight blue Roberto Cavalli gown with cut outs in the back at "The Beaver" premiere.
RACHEL MCADAMS: even though her face is glowing, this red Marchesa dress she wore at the "Midnight in Paris" premiere kind of reminds me of Lady Gaga's meat dress, no?!
NAOMI CAMPBELL: is a vision of chocolate perfection in this burgundy Azzedine Alaia flamenco style dress at "The Beaver" premiere.
KIRSTEN DUNST: she is my best dressed pick in this stunning off-white and pink embroidered Chanel couture lace gown that features a sheer skirt. The whole look totally works with the chic braided updo paired with an embellished headband and fashionable pink lips that are in right now.

Find Your Perfect Shade of Red Lipstick

So lately, I'm been obsessed with different shades of lipsticks, but a classic example of that is finding my right shade of red lipstick. I've had a few different reds, but I'm personally into really bright reds, like in Gwen Stefani. Realistically though, that's not going to happen...I don't have blonde hair and pale skin (well not as fair as hers anyway). I went to Sephora last week and though they sold out of the Classic Red Lipstick I wanted to try, I ended up trying Sephora's Hot Tango 05 which is a Bright Red Lipstick, and it fit my skin pretty well.
I honestly feel like I have a constant skin tone, it seriously changes throughout the year. I'm golden and tan over the summer, then I'm pale and yellowish over the colder months. But when choosing a perfect shade of year that fits you personally, the foundation is to identify your skin tone and go from there. Here are some affordable lipsticks exclusively at Sephora![[BR]]
WARMER SKIN TONES...
(if you have golden skin/brown or hazel eyes/hair has golden or reddish tones--Lindsay Lohan)
Your perfect red: Wine Red, try Wine Red #58 which is a Bergundy Wine by Korres $22. It's a longwearing, creamy lipstick with antioxidants and anti-aging benefits.[[BR]]
COOLER SKIN TONES...
(if you have rosy or olive skin/blue, green, or hazel eyes/hair has no golden or reddish tones--Angelina Jolie)
Your perfect red: Scarlet Red, try Givenchy's Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Absolutely Irresistible Red $28. This rich, creamy formula has a nice velvety texture.[[BR]]
OLIVE UNDERTONES...(Aishwarya Rai)
Your perfect red: Coral Red, try Yves Saint Laurent Silky Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 in Extreme Coral #15 $34. It's a smooth and creamy lipstick that exudes radiant color.[[BR]]
Red is a very tricky color to wear, but very doable to any skin type! The best way to test out colors is to actually go to a make-up counter and test out the lipsticks, even consult with a make-up artist...THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE THERE FOR!

Celebrity Trend: Getting Pregnant Before Marriage!

This is how it's supposed to be: first comes love...then comes marriage...then comes a baby in a baby carriage!!! But in Hollywood, that's a different story. This is how things roll in Hollywood: first comes love? (supposedly)...then comes baby...then comes...hmmm let's see: maybe marriage, NOT likely though, OR break-up.
A lot of celebrity women have the independence and bank account to be a single mother, and that sure is a likely scene in Hollywood. They see someone they want to have a child with, and if that relationship lasts then great! but it's no biggy if they break-up because...they can find another one.
Though it's great to see many independent women not need a man in their lives, I'm also wondering what other message this sends. Where has the sanctity of marriage go? When did this evolution of a woman's independence change suddenly? How has it become so acceptable to not marry the man who's also the baby daddy?
I have seen in this new age that having a baby when your young (Teen Mom) or when you're not married is becoming somewhat glamorized in the media. Not only are there special shows about young moms, but so many of them! MTV now has Teen Mom 2 and related shows such as 16 And Pregnant. What is the real meaning behind these reality shows? Isn't it supposed to be a warning amongst viewers that what we watch is NOT a life we should want to bestow upon ourselves? Then there's Hollywood that has beautiful women pregnant: Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Ritchie, and Halle Berry. These women are successful and independent. Some are still with their baby daddy and others aren't.
Call me old fashioned but I'm all for love, marriage, and then baby. At least I know if this schedule didn't work out, I'll still be okay because it has become so acceptable ;)

Golden Globes Fashion Recap 2011

The Golden Globes were on last night, and nothing's better than tuning into the red carpet to see all the latest fashion trends. This year, the ladies wore an array of dresses. Most popular trend I noticed are wavy hair, fitted clothing, and a lot of color. Let's see some of the most memorable dresses of the night...
Natalie Portman: she indeed was glowing, but that Viktor & Rolf silk dress had a beautiful fresh color, but that red rose plastered on the middle of the dress immediately cheapened the look of the dress.
Julianne Moore: this hot pink Lanvin gown is beautiful with the jewel undertones, but that sleeve on the dress is unnecessary. It looks likes her arm should be in a sling.
Emma Stone: she surely has the looks and body to pull off this body hugging peach Calvin Klein dress, but this choice seemed too plain for her bubbly personality.
Catherine Zeta-Jones: she looked absolutely stunning in this emerald green Monique L'Hullier gown. Not only does this color stand out with its great structured tier design, but she truly looks like a Hollywood stunner.
Halle Berry: undeniably best body in Hollywood, this M&S corset black dress doesn't fit the formal occasion of the Golden Globes, but she is still a head turner.
January Jones: this blood red Versace gown is showstopping, and it looks amazing on her. It took a lot of balls to put out the cleavage during winter, but she definitely pulls it off.
Anne Hathaway: this is my favorite dress of the night! Take this Armani prive gown with its rose gold color, big shoulders (my fave) AND backless makes this combination a winner! She looked like the A-List superstar she truly is.
Eva Longoria: always looking elegant, especially in this hugging black Zac Posen dress, she knows how to pull off simplicity and glamorous at the same time.
Angelina Jolie: this emerald green Versace number looks stunning on the ever-stunning Angelina, finally we see that color is actually her best friend too! This long sleeved, fitted gown adorned with Swarovski crystals speaks for itself.
Christina Hendricks: this busty actress caught everyone's attention in this hugging one shouldered red Romona Keveza gown. Too bad the ruffle is a maybe overkill to the dress, hiding her beautiful face.
Sandra Bullock: wearing Jenny Packham, this jewel encrusted gown would've gathered more attention if it wasn't for Sandra's bangs causing the controversy. Her hair hides her beautiful face and bubbly personality that we all know and love.
Olivia Wilde: this embellished Marchesa gown was truly fit for a young princess like Olivia. Her low maintenance do looks like she's not trying too hard to impress, though she does.
Jennifer Lopez: wearing Zuhair Murah white gown with a jeweled shawl covering, she looks stunning, minus the dress. Though she's a mother, it's too matronly, and puts a lot of years to her fresh face and bomb physique.
Mila Kunis: this emerald green Vera Wang asymmetric gown is stunning on beauty Mila. It's very fresh and and young, something that screams simple elegance at its best.
2011 is off and running! Trends we can expect to see more on the red carpet are jewel tones such as emerald green and blood red. Another returning trend is the big shouldered look, with fitted sleeves, and low backs.
