~Mosaic Monday: Travelista!~

Happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was fun and relaxing.
I cooked an ambitious Italian feast alllllll day yesterday for Mother's Day, more on my weekend next post with some fun photos!

For today:
Mosaic Monday: Travelista!

I can't freaking wait for our coming up vaca . . .
it's one of the main things on my mind:
what to wear?!

Do you have any traveling plans this year/summer?
Do share, I love to hear about it!

Our vaca:
London, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, France . . . etc.
It can't be soon enough!

Enjoy your Monday my dearies!

~Making Awesome-spice Lemonade from our Lemons~

Yup we have alllll heard this adage before.

Maybe at times have wanted to ignore it and focus on the sour-ness

Or have used it to turn a situation into a
 new adventure!
This last weekend we were thrown a whole bunch of lemons.

for all my blog friends who know me . . .
you know that:

1) We LOVE to travel
2) I like to plan
3) We are trying to travel as much as possible before we have beeebies!

The Lemons:
We have been planning our vacations since last year
(redeeming miles we need to book a year in advance!).
We have one in June and one in November.
My hubby was checking the Royal Carribean website . . .
it had our June trip . . .
and. that. was. it!
Where the h.e.-double-hockey-sticks did our 2nd trip go?!
Hmmmmm?!
So he calls.
They cancelled it.
Sweet arse!

So we are freaking out because we have a flight to Milan, Italy, and 10 days later going home from Barcelona, Spain, but no cruise . . .  so what the heck do we do, we can't cancel our flights b/c we will then have to pay an arm and a leg, and we are cheap travelers.
mmmm mmm nope.
There are no other cruises fitting our criteria.

Our Awesome-spice Lemonade:
We are going to keep the flight to Milan, and just change the last one to go from Rome.
Train pass: cheap!
So we are going to travel Italy on our own!

We get to experience the local night life
See all we want to see
Not be stuck with a bunch of 70 year olds
(sorry but true on cruises in Europe!)
I'm soooo pumped.
So thank you my marvelous hubby for the new plans and not cancelling our trip!

(Ok so I may be overly dramatic, but that's why you love me right?  AND if you were here during this fiasco you'd understand.  Don't mess with our vaca's . . . we only have a few before we give up travels for kiddos!)

K thanks for reading my rant.

And enjoy your lemonade today chicas!!!

~Mosaic Monday: World Travelista~

Happy Monday!
As it is a holiday here (woo hoo) the hubby has today off as well, so I'll make this quick so we can go take the pups to the dog park and make some seafood pasta:-)

BUSY weekend, more on this tomorrow!
How was yours???

Lately I am in this mode to finish what I've started
I'm not sure if it's a Spring Cleaning mode coming on?
But I am all about clearing my mental to do lists to open up space to think clearly.

Anyone else feel like this?

One thing that I've been meaning to do is edit our travels pics from our last vaca
(ummmm last May! Lol)
And share them with you all.
I got through Rome and day 4 . . . only 11 more to go! Hee heee
Chk out posts:
I need to do this before we head off again in June . . .

So with that said, this Mosaic Monday is for all of you travelistas out there . . .

So I will be doing my best to post pics, and bring back my
"destination thursdays"
in order to share them with you all!

Where was the destination of the last trip you took??

I think everyone should once in a while!

It's ok to splurge occasionally, aye?!

So for this weekend:

Do something nice.

Enjoy life

Treat yourself to something out of the ordinary

Live it up!

Indulge

Destination Thursdays . . . on the Island of Capri, Italy

My very first edition of "Destination Thursdays"

Today we're taking a trip to . . .

The lovely Island of Capri in Italy

Andiamo!!!
(Let's go!)

So we arrive to the gorgeous Island via the Port of Marina Grande on motorlaunch . . .
and this is what we see!

and this . . .

(photos via our vaca July 2009)

Then let's head up the hill on the "funicular"
(view from the ride up)
to the famous Capri . . . where celebrities have been spotted walking the street, shopping at the expensive boutiques.

Oh wait . . . is that Jessica Simpson with her new beau?!

Capri is a major destination for celebs . . . there's a good reason it's absolutely breathtaking.  From the fun buildings
To the view from the top
So many gorgeous colors everywhere you look!
Oooh here, let's stop and get a lemon granita!!! Mmmm

~We lunch here~
~We Swim~
~With a glass of Lemoncello~

Then back to our 5 star hotel, Punta Tragara

(we're day dreaming, we totally deserve a super expensive 5 star hotel, right?!)
To get a spa treatment

Then we get all dolled up and head out for a night on the town!
Oh, what up Mariah?! Nick?  You guys all going to The Number Two?

We all get our dance on . . .
and then stumble back to our hotel with this view

Awww . . . thanks for being such a great travel bud!!!

Hope you had fun:-)
*Photos without links or sources are from our travels*

Yup if you haven't entered, do it!!! $25 of fantastic cards awaits you . . .

P.S.S. We've been crazy style doing touristy things in Seattle every day with the fam visiting from Luxembourg . . . MANY pics and stories soon:-)
Soooo fun yet tiring.  I'm pooped.

Mwah!
